It is essential for working in the security industry that you undergo structured training resulting in a recognised qualification. It is illegal to work in the Security Industry without a valid licence. The Security Guarding course enables you to apply for your SIA licence and thus be properly trained and qualified for your job.
The SIA endorsed course takes place over four days at the Learn Assist training premises, from Monday to Thursday, with the option of additional First Aid training on Friday. All training is conducted by a fully qualified, professional trainer who has work based experience to bring the course to life. Our small class size enables you to have individual attention required to help you pass the course.
The training is divided into three modules:
• Common module, security knowledge
• Security guarding specialist module
• Conflict management
In order for you to obtain your SIA licence you need to pass the above three modules, there is a multiple-choice exam at the end of each module.
At Learn Assist we have a team on site to offer support throughout your training. Once you have passed the course, we will give you your SIA licence application form and help you with its completion. A training manual is provided and we will take you through your identification requirements.
